Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate all stages of fit-out projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with mall management for site access, permits, and approvals.

2. Design & Technical Review

  • Review civil, MEP, and fire-fighting design plans and shop drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and mall standards.
  • Raise RFIs and ensure design clarifications are addressed promptly.

3. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Monitor quality across civil, MEP, and fire-fighting works.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with design, client expectations, and regulatory standards.

4. Site Management

  • Supervise on-site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Manage subcontractors for civil, MEP, fire-fighting, and other specialized works.
  • Ensure organized, safe, and clean site operations, complying with mall requirements.

5. Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, mall authorities, and internal teams.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.

6. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting

  • Resolve technical issues, delays, or discrepancies in civil, MEP, or fire-fighting works.
  • Proactively address subcontractor-related challenges to avoid project delays.

7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project milestones and progress against schedules.
  • Prepare regular reports for management and clients highlighting risks and corrective actions.

8. Budgeting & Cost Management

  • Monitor project budgets, material usage, and subcontractor costs.
  • Ensure cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality standards.

9. Health & Safety Management

  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
  • Ensure all activities, including MEP and fire-fighting installation, comply with regulations.

10. Procurement & Supply chain Management

  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Ensure timely delivery of resources and verify quality prior to installation.

11. Testing & Commissioning

  • Supervise testing and commissioning of civil, MEP, and fire-fighting systems.
  • Ensure all systems meet design, client, and regulatory standards.

12. Handover & Snagging

  • Conduct snag inspections and manage de-snagging activities.
  • Prepare final handover documentation ensuring a defect-free project delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in retail fit-out projects within Mall/ Retail environment.
  3. UAE Driving License and car is a MUST.
  4. Experience coordinating civil, MEP, and fire-fighting works.
  5. Ability to read and interpret drawings, design details, and technical specifications.
  6. Strong understanding of retail fit-out projects including civil, MEP, and fire-fighting systems.
  7. Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
  8. Knowledge of mall regulations, HSE standards, and quality control practices.
  9. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (preferred), and project reporting tools.
  10. Excellent site supervision, planning, and coordination skills.
  11. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
