Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, fitting, and alignment of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines.
  • Identify mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule.
  • Maintain tools, spares, and work areas in good condition.
  • Support shutdown and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure compliance with plant standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers and technicians for continuous equipment improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role, with a maximum of 8 years preferred.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools in an industrial setting.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and reporting issues.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual tasks and work in various conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by operational needs.
