Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the fleet and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate distribution of catering and food products.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet utilization, route planning, and delivery schedules for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards across all fleet and delivery operations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, kitchen, and event teams to align delivery logistics with production and client requirements.
  • Manage and maintain fleet vehicles, ensuring regular servicing, repairs, and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Lead, train, and motivate delivery staff and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze delivery performance metrics, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Handle incident and accident investigations, implement corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Negotiate with vendors and service providers for vehicle leasing, maintenance, and fuel procurement to optimize costs.
  • Oversee the implementation and use of fleet management software and tracking systems to monitor deliveries and vehicle status in real time.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fleet management, logistics, or delivery operations, preferably within the catering, food service, or hospitality industry.

  • Proven track record in managing large fleets and delivery teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices in fleet operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize routes, schedules, and resource allocation for cost-effective and timely deliveries.
  • Experience with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and logistics technology solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to work onsite and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to operational demands, including occasional after-hours or weekend work as required.
