Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the company s fleet, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules and procedures in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Conduct root cause analysis of recurring mechanical or electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring timely procurement and cost control.
Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align maintenance activities with fleet utilization and business needs.
Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance records, reports, and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance fleet reliability and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies during all maintenance operations.
Support budgeting and cost analysis for fleet maintenance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of progressive experience in fleet maintenance or a similar engineering role.
Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in a transportation or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventive maintenance best practices.
Familiarity with spare parts management and procurement processes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in root cause analysis.
Proficient in using maintenance management software and MS Office applications.
Solid understanding of safety, regulatory, and environmental standards relevant to fleet operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
