Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations for the company s fleet, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and repaired according to established schedules.
  • Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize fleet availability.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to fleet maintenance.
  • Oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, parts suppliers, and maintenance vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using fleet management software.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend vehicle lifespan and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous skill development.
  • Analyze maintenance data and KPIs to identify trends, optimize processes, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control for fleet maintenance operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive , or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in fleet maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems and maintenance scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of technicians and support staff.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in fleet operations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret maintenance data and KPIs.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside regular working hours as needed.
