Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A fine dining / upscale casual restaurant is looking for a Floor Supervisor who will support the Restaurant Manager in leading the front-of-house team and maintaining high service standards during each shift.

The Floor Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the service team on the floor, coordinating sections, ensuring smooth table turnover, and handling guest requests or complaints in a professional and proactive way.

This role is ideal for someone with solid fine dining experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership, while still being very active on the floor.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3 5+ years of front-of-house experience in fine dining or premium restaurants
  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter / Captain / Supervisor is preferred
  • Strong understanding of service sequence, table setting, menu knowledge, and upselling techniques
  • Ability to coordinate between kitchen and service teams to ensure timely delivery and quality
  • Hands-on leadership style: leads by example in greeting guests, checking tables, and supporting the team during busy periods
  • Strong eye for detail in cleanliness, table presentation, staff grooming, and guest comfort
  • Good communication skills with a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to handle guest feedback or complaints on the spot and escalate when needed
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
  • Passion for hospitality and willingness to grow into a higher management role
