Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Handle the end-to-end import process, including supplier communication, order placement, shipment follow-up, and documentation.
  • Source and negotiate with international suppliers to ensure best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders, proforma invoices, and shipping documents
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines to arrange and track shipments until arrival.
  • Follow up on customs clearance procedures with clearance agents and ensure timely release of shipments.
  • Monitor and update import schedules to ensure smooth flow of materials and avoid shortages.
  • Collaborate with the finance department for payment arrangements and documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and supplier performance.
  • Evaluate and report cost analysis and landed cost calculations for imported materials.
  • Support internal departments (production, planning, and quality) by ensuring materials availability as per plan.
  • Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Logistics, or any related field
  • 3 5 years of experience in foreign purchasing and import logistics
  • Strong knowledge of import documentation, Incoterms, shipping terms, and customs procedures.
  • Proven experience in dealing with international suppliers
  • Good understanding of payment terms (LCs, TTs) and coordination with banks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Very good command of English (spoken and written).

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Logistics, or any related field
