Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership: Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the welding team; provide guidance and training to welders to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards; foster a safety-oriented work environment.
Welding Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate welding activities according to project timelines and specifications; ensure efficient utilization of resources including manpower and equipment; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align welding activities with project milestones.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect welding work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications; implement and enforce welding procedures and standards; address and rectify any welding-related issues promptly.
Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all safety regulations and protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for the welding team; investigate and report any safety incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Other Responsibilities: Oversee procurement and inventory management of welding materials and consumables; maintain accurate records of welding activities including daily reports; facilitate effective communication between the welding team and other project stakeholders; report project status, challenges, and achievements to higher superiors; identify training needs for the welding team and facilitate skill development programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / ITI with minimum 5 years of site experience in oil & gas fields welding.
- Experience in jacket, platform, and offshore structure welding.
- Proficient in various welding processes: GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, SAW, semi-automatic, and automation.
Specific Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge of welding equipment and automation.
- Experience in site execution, problem-solving, and welder training.
- Ability to operate modern welding processes and equipment; capability to train welders.

- Good anticipation, planning, and organizing skills.

Desired Candidate Profile
