Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for Executing duct fabrication and installation works for Offshore/ Marine Jobs in a safe and environment friendly manner meeting schedule, cost and quality targets.

Day-to-day operations:

  • Carryout site survey / site measurement for ducting for refurbishment works.

  • Read and understand drawings for duct fabrication.

  • Carryout duct fabrication and sheet metal works.

  • Remove/ Install/ connect duct works on board. .

  • Assemble and connect pipes and ducts of HVAC.

  • Operate machines including bending machine, shearing machine, press brake, rolling machine, bench drill etc.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping, daily maintenance of machine tools in safe working condition. .

  • Communicate with Supervisor about any unsafe condition, noticed malfunction of tools and machinery.

  • Prevent excessive wear, tear, breakdowns and wastage of materials, welding consumables etc.

  • Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical competencies:

  • Good knowledge in sheet metal works and machining particularly in Marine/ Oil & Gas industry.

  • Ability to use relevant tools and equipment in a safe manner.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, procedures and drawings.

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in any Engineering Discipline.

  • Experience - Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a Duct Fabricator.
