Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
To supervise the activities of his team of mechanics and electricians in the auto service workshop and ensure adherence to quality control protocols / standards.
* To ensure the timely and proper completion of repairs to customers' automobiles and that automobiles are returned to customers in a condition compliant with prescribed quality standards.
Allocates mechanics and electricians to tasks at the workshop in order to ensure efficiency and productivity of all staff.
* Plans and schedules assignments/tasks, based on their priority, quantity of equipment available and skill level of the mechanics and electricians.
* Implements specific performance standards, as stipulated by supervisor/manager of the workshop, in such key areas as maintenance and repairs; and ensures workshop performance is consistent with these standards.
* Ensures that the services rendered and in compliance with the prescribed technical standards of Hyundai and dealership specifications.
* Patrols work areas frequently to monitor productivity levels of staff and to examine tools and equipment, in order to maintain the safety of operations and the proper adherence to established procedures.
* Manages tool and equipment storage facilities to ensure required resources are available, functional and neatly organized.
* Engages in the requisition of materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts as is required.
* Conducts weekly meetings with service mechanics and electricians to communicate Hyundai updates and any necessary safety issues.
* Monitors training levels of mechanics and electricians and communicates concerns to the workshop supervisor/manager.
Assist technicians on the job, provide latest technical information and facilitate application of special books and equipment.
* Perform quality control of workmanship while work is in progress
* Participates in the preparation of the workshop budget in order to accurately set cost requirements and attainable resource utilization levels.

Desired Candidate Profile
* Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years experience in related of a reputed Automobile company in the region.
