Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software to analyze and forecast project progress and potential delays.
- Conduct thorough forensic schedule analysis to identify causes of delays, critical path impacts, and potential liability.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing schedule deviations, impacts, and recommendations for mitigation.
- Evaluate and assess the validity of time extension claims, analyzing supporting documentation and contract terms.
- Collaborate with project teams, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide expert advice.
- Perform 'what-if' scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential changes and delays on project outcomes.
- Review and analyze project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence, to identify relevant information.
- Assist in the preparation of expert witness reports and provide testimony in legal proceedings, if required.
- Stay current with industry best practices, software advancements, and relevant legal precedents.
- Provide proactive planning support to prevent disputes and optimize project performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, with a focus on forensic analysis.
- Proficient in using scheduling software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant tools.
- Exhibits excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle complex projects and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, and delay analysis techniques.
