Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Follow instructions given by Supervisor / Foreman & Clerk.

  2. Forklift Operator should be able to assess usage appropriate Forklift to handle de-stuffing & stuffing of Container.

  3. Forklift Operator should segregate cargo being de-stuffed from the container & load cargo onto the trailer or into the container in a safe manner.

  4. Ensure safety measures are taken prior to carry out operation.

  5. Forklift Operator should report break down of equipment to the immediate supervisor.

  6. To ensure Forklift truck are always in good condition and report any faults or damage immediately to the supervisor.

  7. To pre-check equipment before operating thus following warehouse safety procedures at all times.

  8. Prior to operating machinery ensure the respective area is clear of pedestrians or obstacles for safety purposes.

  9. To ensure mechanical / electrical defects to the allotted machinery is rectified to avoid wastage in time and cost.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education / Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid forklift operator license/certification


Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, port, or logistics environment.

• Familiarity with basic equipment maintenance and safety checks.


Skills

• Strong awareness of safety practices and ability to follow warehouse procedures.

• Ability to assess appropriate forklift type and capacity for different cargo.

• Good coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.

• Basic reporting skills to notify supervisors of faults, damages, or incidents.

• Team player with the ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.


Other Requirements

• Physically fit to handle operational demands.

• Willingness to work in shifts.
