The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently handling cargo during container stuffing and de-stuffing operations. The role involves selecting and operating the appropriate forklift, segregating and loading cargo, and ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures. The operator must conduct pre-checks on equipment, maintain forklifts in good working condition, and promptly report any defects, damages, or breakdowns to the supervisor. A key responsibility is to ensure work areas are free of hazards before operations begin, minimizing risks to people, equipment, and cargo. 1. Follow instructions given by Supervisor / Foreman & Clerk. 2. Forklift Operator should be able to assess usage appropriate Forklift to handle de-stuffing & stuffing of Container. 3. Forklift Operator should segregate cargo being de-stuffed from the container & load cargo onto the trailer or into the container in a safe manner. 4. Ensure safety measures are taken prior to carry out operation. 5. Forklift Operator should report break down of equipment to the immediate supervisor.
