Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Plumber at voco Monaco Dubai is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems throughout the hotel. This role ensures that all plumbing systems function efficiently, meet safety standards, and comply with regulatory requirements. The Plumber will work closely with the engineering team to address any plumbing issues promptly and contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel's infrastructure.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Plumbing Installation and Repair:

- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water, gas, and drainage systems.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctioning fixtures.

- Replace or repair defective parts and components using hand and power tools.

Preventive Maintenance:

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues.

- Monitor and maintain water pressure and flow rates to ensure consistent service levels.

Emergency Response:

- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing situations, including leaks, floods, and other urgent issues.

- Implement temporary solutions and repairs to minimize disruption and address immediate concerns.

Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards.

- Maintain and adhere to safety procedures when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of plumbing work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory usage.

- Report major issues or required repairs to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with the engineering team and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and address any plumbing-related concerns.

- Communicate effectively with guests and staff regarding plumbing issues and expected resolution times.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

- Manage plumbing tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of plumbing supplies and materials, ordering as necessary.

- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, installations, and repairs.
