Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities: - Supervise daily operations in fresh food departments: produce, bakery, deli, meat, and dairy.
- Ensure fresh food displays are full, clean, appealing, and in line with company standards.
- Maintain excellent product quality by ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO) and handling.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide on-the-job training and support for fresh food team members.
- Assist with staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance feedback.
- Support inventory management, including ordering, waste reduction, and stock control.
- Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain equipment used in fresh food departments.
- Implement the Operation Department s established policies and procedures and comply with Tawfeer Supermarket s other policies.
- Regularly assess inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to reduce waste and optimize stock levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage deliveries, track order accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and customer preferences.
- Provide actionable insights to management regarding trends, challenges, and opportunities in the fresh food departments.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to make informed decisions for department improvements.
Desired Candidate Profile
skills and qualifications: - Bachelor Business Administration, Food Safety or related field.
- Previous experience in a retail fresh food environment (supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and staff.
- Leadership and Team Coordination skills to supervise and motivate a team.
- Problem Solving skills.
- Customer Service Focus.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure product quality and presentation.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands.
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and evenings as required.
