Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Human resources generalist maintains employee relations on behalf of a company, hire new workers and perform other related tasks. He/She is the link between employer and employee.



Experience & Skills


•High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

•Knowledge of office administration procedures.

•Knowledge of HR tasks and procedures.

•Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.


Personal Qualities:


Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office).

•Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.

•Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.



Specific Responsibilities’ Standards:


Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.

•Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.

•Assist in hiring process by coordinating job posting on Web site, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews and reference checks.

•Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.

Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.

•Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.

•Schedule or conduct new employee orientations.

•Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures.

•Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.

Manage monthly attendance record using human resources management system software

•Manage any other administration function in the department


General Responsibilities’ Standards


Develop effective relationships with OCEC management and staff, the Owner, Government representatives, business associates, clients and third-party consultants through appropriate communication and a positive attitude.

•Identify and resolve cultural and other situations as they arise both internally and externally.

•Provision of input to reports and correspondence as required.

•Participate in training as directed by the OCEC General Manager.

•Other duties as directed by the line Manager.
