Architect Engineer (Omani Fresher) Sultan Port

Purpose

The main purpose of the Architect is to develop and review design drawings and renderings as well as independently review the consultant’s design documentation based on development briefs. This will also include being involved in all aspects of the architectural process such as concept design, design development, client, and consultant liaison, detailing and documentation, specification of material, and project visualization.

Operational

Assist in the preparation and presentation of design reviews using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional methods.

Assist in the development of innovative contextual design solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Provide support to the rest of the design management and consultant teams as required.

Conduct project site visits to ensure that design specifications are met.

Liaise with Clients, Stakeholders, and User Groups to determine their requirements and coordinate dissemination of this information to the Design Management and Consultant teams.

Assist in the preparation of concept designs and various design approaches for development briefs.

Assist in the creation and verification of briefing documents.

Assist in the review of project design and ensure compliance with client’s specifications and requirements.

Assist in specifying materials and equipment for the project.

Assist in the selection process for all relevant procurement and logistics requirements.

Coordinate with Mechanical Electrical Plumbing to review the project design specifications and ensure compliance with the client and Sultan Port standards.

Assist in reviewing the final design of the project and ensure all project details are meeting client’s needs and complied with Sultan Port standards.

Perform routine activities required of the Design professionals.

Perform as an effective member in supporting the unit in ensuring that the tasks in accordance with the objectives are completed accurately on daily basis.

Seek support and guidance from Line Manager/ Department Head.

Foster a culture of team spirit, co-operation, and continuous self-development within the unit.

Coach and mentor trainees and fresh graduates in this field.

Provide regular reports on on-site visits and project design progress throughout the phases.
