Role Overview

We are hiring a Full-Stack Web Developer / Platform Engineer to take long-term ownership of the FX Terminal website and its supporting systems.

The role has two phases:

1. Initial Build Phase (first 3 4 months)

Design and develop the FX Terminal website to production quality.

2. Ongoing Phase (long-term)

Maintain, optimize, and continuously improve the platform while supporting related KiwiFX Innovations technical tasks.

This is a product-oriented, long-term role, not a one-off website project.

Primary Responsibilities

Phase 1 Platform Development

Develop the FX Terminal website using WordPress as the core CMS.

Build a clean, fast, and scalable frontend (desktop and mobile).

Structure and implement the main platform sections:

o News

o Analysis

o Terminal Matrix (dashboards, market metrics, visual tools)

o Forex Calculators

o Economic Calendar

o Crypto section

o Education hub

Create a non-technical CMS workflow allowing editors to publish and manage content without coding.

Integrate third-party APIs (market data, economic calendars, crypto pricing).

Establish strong foundations for performance, security, SEO, and scalability.

Phase 2 Maintenance, Improvement & Expansion

Continuously improve:

o UX/UI and information architecture

o Performance and Core Web Vitals

o Mobile experience and responsiveness

Extend and enhance Terminal Matrix tools and data visualizations.

Build additional calculators, dashboards, and internal utilities.

Implement analytics, tracking, and reporting for user behavior and engagement.

Support monetization infrastructure (AdSense optimization, affiliates, future subscriptions).

Maintain updates, backups, uptime, and security.

Support complementary technical tasks across the KiwiFX Innovations ecosystem.

Python & Backend Responsibilities

Use Python (Django or Flask) for:

o Lightweight backend services

o Internal tools and automation

o Data processing or aggregation scripts

o API services that complement the WordPress frontend

Maintain clean, documented, and maintainable backend logic.

Advanced data science is not required, but practical backend proficiency is expected.

Growth, SEO & Monetization Enablement

While this is a technical role, the developer is expected to support growth by:

Implementing technical SEO best practices (site structure, schema, performance optimization).

Supporting Google AdSense and ad-layout optimization (mobile vs desktop).

Enabling user acquisition and expansion through performance, UX, and scalable content structures.

Implementing analytics and event tracking.

Contributing to improvements in engagement, retention, and website ROI through technical enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with WordPress (custom themes, plugins, custom post types).

Solid full-stack web development skills:

o PHP

o JavaScript

o HTML / CSS

Practical experience with Python, preferably using Django or Flask.

Experience integrating REST APIs.

Understanding of performance optimization, caching, and CDN usage.

Familiarity with technical SEO fundamentals.

Strong problem-solving skills and a product-oriented mindset.

Experience with React, Vue, or modern JavaScript frameworks.

Data visualization libraries (Chart.js, D3, etc.).

Experience with financial, trading, or data-heavy platforms.
