Full-stack Website Expert Developer & Designer

We are a US-based marketing agency seeking a highly-skilled contractor for ongoing part-time daily work that would flex up to full time on an ongoing basis. Website branding and rebuilding expert who excels in both design and technical environments. This hybrid role combines ongoing WordPress maintenance, full-stack front end focus development, and performance tasks to build and maintain high-performing websites for small business and smaller e-commerce clients.

This is a long-term role for someone who is detail-oriented, creative, technically strong, and committed to best practices in performance, security, and responsive design.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance and UX/UI testing on other developers work (in-house and partners).
• Complete random tasks as assigned for website changes.
• Help us maintain 75-100 WordPress websites monthly, including performance, server settings, plugins, updates, backups, and security best practices.
• Launch 0-4 standard simple websites per month (10-30 pages) with our marketing team, project managers, and SEO account managers.
• Clean, modern, and user-friendly web experiences directly in CMS page builders to create beautiful template layouts for our team to write and load SEO content and choose images.
• Develop and maintain responsive, mobile-optimized websites with strong focus on performance.
• Create and present branding style guides and apply consistent visual styles across projects.
• Utilize global styling and advanced widget configuration for efficient development.
• Write clean, semantic HTML, CSS (including Flexbox), and integrate with templates and themes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues, both proactively and reactively.
• Ensure websites meet high standards in Core Web Vitals, SEO, ADA / WCAG accessibility compliance, and load speed optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other partner agency developers across time zones.
• Work with Shopify and WooCommerce for modifying past e-commerce builds, including customizations and styling. We won t be doing many new e-commerce builds.
