Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Role: Provide customers with professional guidance throughout the furniture selection process, ensuring a high-quality showroom experience and contributing to the achievement of sales targets. Maintain product knowledge, support visual merchandising, and uphold the brand s standards in customer service and showroom presentation.
Tasks and Duties
Welcome customers and identify their furniture needs, preferences, style, space measurements, and budget.
Present furniture items, explain features, materials, dimensions, colors, configurations, and customization options.
Offer complementary product suggestions (rugs, tables, accessories) to support cross-selling and upselling.
Coordinate with Showroom Manager in preparing quotations, issue sales orders, and follow up on pending leads and approvals.
Assist in closing deals through persuasive communication and value-based selling.
Maintain strong knowledge of all furniture collections: sofas, dining sets, bedrooms, office furniture, accessories, upholstery types, wood options, and finishes.
Understand filling types, cushioning, mechanisms, fabrics, leathers, maintenance requirements, and warranty conditions.
Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, bestsellers, and discontinued items.
Explain product benefits clearly to enhance customer decision-making.
Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing according to VM guidelines.
Confirm that price tags, product labels, and brochures are accurately displayed.
Support in preparing seasonal setups, promotional corners, and room-setting arrangements.
Report damaged items, missing labels, or display maintenance needs.
Build strong relationships with walk-in and returning customers.
Follow up regularly on quotations, layouts, delivery schedules, and after-sales inquiries.
Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Maintain updated customer records and ensure excellent service.
Report fast-moving, slow-moving, and out-of-stock items to showroom manager.
Provide daily activity updates, customer insights, and feedback to support decision-making.
Required Skills
Preferably Business Management or Marketing & Sales University Graduate
2 - 3 year of experience in furniture showroom sales
Experience in furniture retail or home d cor sales.
Ability to understand measurements, room layouts, and basic interior coordination.
Basic knowledge of materials (wood, metal, fabric types, foam density, mechanisms).
Familiarity with SAGE systems is a plus.
Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
Persuasive selling skills and confidence in explaining product features.
Professional appearance, positive attitude, and reliability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet monthly sales targets.
