Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Case Management and Support :
Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs and priorities of GBV survivors.
Develop individualized care plans and provide consistent follow-up with survivors.
Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to promote recovery and empowerment.
Organize case conferences with UNHCR GBV staff (with survivor consent).
Guide survivors to accessible services such as medical care, mental health support, legal counseling, safe shelter, education, and livelihood opportunities.
Service Referrals :
Facilitate referrals to specialized services based on survivors' needs.
Coordinate with local partners to ensure survivors from remote areas can access services.
Data Management :
Collect, store, and share GBV incident data securely using the GBV IMS system.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
Prevention and Advocacy Activities :
Support the delivery of FGDs addressing GBV and violence against women and girls (VAWG), engaging diverse community members.
Assist in organizing and facilitating Positive Parenting workshops to promote non-violent family relationships and gender-equitable attitudes.
Contribute to the implementation of Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for school counselors on GBV and CP awareness and prevention.
Collaboration and Capacity Building :
Work collaboratively with AWO s multidisciplinary team and stakeholders.
Participate in capacity-building initiatives and training sessions to enhance GBV case management and psychosocial support skills.
Workload Management :
Handle a caseload of approximately 10-11 cases per month, ensuring timely and effective case closure within 2-3 months per case.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in GBV case management or related fields in humanitarian settings.
Proficiency in conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
Familiarity with GBV IMS or similar case management systems is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Fluency in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.
