Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all documentation and records are prepared and available.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the supply chain, import/export, or logistics industry is an advantage.
