Summary:

The Senior Vessel Operator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of vessel operations, ensuring smooth handling of Break Bulk, General Cargo, and RO-RO . The role requires strong knowledge of port operations, compliance with port rules and regulations, and effective communication with stakeholders to achieve operational efficiency. Knowledge of husbandry services is essential to support vessels with crew assistance, provisions, spares, and other port-related requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations Management

• Plan and execute vessel operations for Break Bulk, RO-RO, and General Cargo.
• Coordinate berthing, cargo handling, and sailing schedules with port authorities and terminal operators.

Husbandry Services

• Arrange and manage husbandry services, including crew changes, delivery of provisions, spares, bunkers, and other vessel requirements.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective support for vessels during port stay.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to port regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and verify operational documentation, including manifests, stowage plans, and customs clearance.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with shipping lines, port authorities, stevedores, and other service providers.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding vessel schedules and cargo status.

Operational Efficiency

• Monitor vessel turnaround times and implement measures to reduce delays.
• Handle contingencies such as cargo damage, delays, or regulatory issues promptly.

Reporting & Analysis

• Maintain accurate records of vessel operations and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Analyze operational performance and suggest improvements.
