Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise and direct the general ledger accounting team, providing training, support, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are recorded accurately.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies related to general ledger activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support finance leadership with special projects and reporting as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
