Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate between departments such as project management, engineering, procurement, finance, and HR to optimize workflow.
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely problem resolution.
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the company’s market presence and revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities, tenders, and contracts in the construction sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to inform business strategy.
Financial Oversight
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, cost control, and resource allocation for projects.
- Monitor financial performance of projects and company operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Project Management
- Review and approve project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to company standards.
Team Leadership & HR Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and project managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to meet operational needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development plans.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management tools, and industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software
