General Manager – Shipping / Freight forwarding Onepoint Consultants DWC- LLC

Location: KSA and Kuwait

Overview:

The General Manager (GM) will oversee the entire strategy, operations and growth of the shipping business for the respective Region. This leadership role entails responsibility for driving business growth, operational excellence and financial integrity, while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance with local industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop business plans to achieve business objectives, financial goals, and market expansion.
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and partnerships.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, shipowners, charterers, and local authorities.
• Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficient service delivery for Ship Agency business for Liner and Non Liner, Offshore Services, Project Cargoes, FFW and Logistics.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, local regulations, and company policies.
• Optimize resource allocation and implement processes to improve operational performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports.
• Manage budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Analyze financial performance, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and financial reporting.
• Establish new relationships and maintain existing associations with clients
• Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns and resolve business issues promptly.
• Drive initiatives to improve service quality, response times, and overall customer experience.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and promote a culture of safety, diversity, and inclusivity.
• Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.
• Oversee compliance with maritime, environmental, and occupational safety standards.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and emerging risks to adapt company policies as needed.
