Roles & Responsibilities
Overview
We are seeking a skilled General Technician with strong expertise in compressors and machinery to join our Kanoo Machinery division in Abu Dhabi. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compressors (electric/diesel driven) and related construction equipment. Experience with Sullair Compressors will be considered a strong advantage. This position requires a professional who can work independently, deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes, and maintain strong customer relationships by providing technical clarifications and warranty support.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, repair, and servicing of compressors and related construction equipment.
· Diagnose faults accurately using electrical circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
· Identify, order, and replace required parts to ensure efficient and timely repairs.
· Ensure repair and service tasks are completed within allocated timeframes and to the highest standards.
· Provide customers with warranty and technical clarifications when required.
· Maintain compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new customers.
· Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ø –8 years of hands-on technical experience in compressors/machinery (experience with Sullair Compressors is an advantage).
Ø Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting abilities.
Ø Ability to read and interpret electrical circuits, schematics, and manuals.
Ø Competence to work independently without supervision.
Ø Skilled in handling a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Ø Honest, reliable, and customer-focused.
Ø Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal).
Ø Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ø Technical education/diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field).
