We are hiring an experienced Generator Technician to work in Qatar. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generator sets across various capacities, ensuring reliable and safe power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on diesel generators of different brands and capacities
• Diagnose and rectify faults in diesel engines, alternators, AC and DC electrical systems, wiring, and control panels
• Conduct load testing and performance evaluation of generator sets
• Repair and replace components such as radiators, fuel lift pumps, hoses, belts, crank seals, starters, and alternators
• Carry out high-voltage cable termination, installation, and grounding as per electrical safety standards
• Maintain service records and follow safety and operational procedures at all times

Requirements

• Experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel generator maintenance and servicing
• Technical Skills
• Strong experience in fault diagnosis using multimeters, insulation testers, and other testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Good understanding of voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and basic electrical calculations
• Knowledge of load testing procedures and generator performance parameters
• Safety & Certification
• Certified or trained in LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
• Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
• Education
• ITI in Generator Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Electrical or Mechanical trade, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
