The Morrow Group has an immediate opening for a Geomodeling Advisor in Saudi Arabia

Title: Geomodeling Advisor Unconventional Resources (Saudi Arabia)

Location(s): Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Perform geological analysis and studies related to UR basin and prospect assessments in KSA:

  • Has the ability to work with the multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the development of 3D geological models of project areas. They contributes in building an integrated subsurface (geology, geophysics, petrophysics and reservoir engineering)
  • Translate various type of data into representative geologic model that can be used for developing the field
  • Wide, hands-on experience conducting all tasks related to building complex geologic models in Petrel or similar software
  • Propose drilling location and assist in well planning
  • Contribute with the team and client to prepare field development plans
  • Liaise with operations and update existing geomodels on timely basis
  • Provide active mentoring to the technical community, exploration geoscientists and/or technicians assigned to work on a common project
  • Adoptability to consulting services environment

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor € s degree in Geology or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.

Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years € work experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior experience in unconventional hydrocarbon basins and consulting/secondment experience is also required.

Skills: Advanced knowledge and application of geologic principles. Good working knowledge of BHI products and services. Excellent client relations, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; a real team player

Software Skills: Hands on experience with Petrel and similar software

Duration: Full-time permanent. 2-3 year expatriate assignment.
