Responsibilities

• Design and plan near-surface geophysical surveys (e.g., Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), seismic refraction/reflection/MASW, magnetics, time domain electromagnetics) to characterize soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.

• Operate and maintain a variety of geophysical instruments and equipment in the field to collect high-quality data.

• Manage, monitor, and perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of geophysical data acquisition, whether collected personally or by third-party contractors.

• Process, analyze, and interpret complex geophysical data using specialized software to produce maps, profiles, and models of subsurface structures.

• Prepare detailed technical reports, charts, and presentations that clearly communicate findings, interpretations, and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

• Provide technical advice and support during the planning, design, and construction phases of infrastructure projects.

• Adhere to all company safety rules, guidelines, and industry standards during all field and office operations.

• Stay current with advancements in geophysical methods, technologies, and industry best practices to enhance investigation accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Geophysics, A Master's degree is often preferred.

• Experience: Relevant work experience in geotechnical or environmental consulting, with a focus on near-surface geophysical investigations. br
