Geotechnical and Earthworks Manager TASC Outsourcing

The Geotechnical and Earthworks Manager will lead and deliver complex geotechnical engineering and earthworks projects across the UAE, overseeing technical design, field investigations, laboratory testing, risk assessment and construction support to ensure safe, cost-effective and timely project delivery.

• Lead planning and execution of geotechnical and geophysical site investigations in the UAE.
• Review and approve technical geotechnical analyses and design, including soil-structure interaction and nonlinear site response.
• Manage laboratory testing programs for soil and rock to support design and construction.
• Conduct geohazard and geotechnical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare geotechnical memoranda, data reports, design reports and technical specifications.
• Develop design drawings and specifications for foundations, earthworks, tunnels and slope stabilization.
• Oversee engineering support and provide construction oversight during earthworks and tunneling activities.
• Perform slope stability calculations, seismic assessments and temporary support designs for tunnels and cut-and-cover works.
• Coordinate stormwater management, drainage and flood control design.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and earthworks, including tunneling and foundation design.
• Proven expertise in earthworks engineering, soil testing and geotechnical engineering analysis.
• Strong experience in planning and managing geotechnical and geophysical investigations.
• Competence in nonlinear site response analysis and soil-structure interaction analysis using 2D/3D finite element modelling.
• Demonstrated ability in slope stability calculations and seismic assessments.
• Experience in temporary support design for tunnel shafts and cut-and-cover tunnels.
• Skilled in conducting geohazard and geotechnical risk assessments.
• Proficiency in preparing geotechnical desk study reports, geotechnical memoranda and design reports.
• Experience in developing design drawings and specifications and performing technical design reviews.
• Project management skills with ability to oversee budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder liaison and report preparation.
• Knowledge of local UAE regulations, standards and construction practices.

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PMP certification).
• Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, FLAC, GEO5).
• Background in hydrological and hydraulic data review and flood control design.
• Experience in the UAE or broader GCC region.
• Familiarity with advanced laboratory testing techniques for soil and rock.
