The successful consultant will join a team to monitor and analyze groundwater levels, quality, and flow using advanced telemetric systems, establish a unified GIS-based data library, update and standardize design methodologies for groundwater control systems, perform a detailed water balance study for the city, and develop a predictive hydrogeological model and early warning system to guide mitigation actions. The scope includes data collection, analysis, and integration, as well as continuous quality control and reporting in compliance with ISO, BS, WMO, USGS, and Saudi Building Code standards.

The successful candidate must have a degree in geology (BSc) with a high degree in geotechnical (MSc or PhD) with a minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant field. Their role will include but not limited to the following:

• Planning and supervising soil, rock, and groundwater investigations.
• Interpreting field and laboratory test results of soil samples
• Assessing soil and rock properties for stability, bearing capacity, and settlement and preparing l reports and recommendations.
• Providing input on mitigation for geotechnical risks such as landslides and sinkholes.
• Providing guidance on excavation, dewatering, shoring, and earthwork operations.
• Supporting project teams in resolving geotechnical issues.
• Reviewing design documents and construction methodologies for geotechnical studies.
• Identifying and evaluating potential geotechnical hazards and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Ensuring works comply with relevant KSA codes and regulations.
