Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Install, configure, and administer ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store, Web Adaptor).

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime of GIS infrastructure.

  • Manage GIS users, roles, permissions, and licensing within enterprise environments.

  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security hardening following best practices.

  • Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Maintain and optimize enterprise geodatabases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

  • Automate GIS workflows and administrative tasks using scripting tools (Python, PowerShell).

  • Support GIS application deployment, integration, and performance tuning.

  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and IT teams to deliver enterprise GIS solutions.

  • Maintain technical documentation for system architecture, configurations, and processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise GIS administration.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

o ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, ArcGIS Online)

o Enterprise Geodatabases

o GIS Web Services & Applications

  • Experience with database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) is an advantage.

  • Experience in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell).

  • Familiarity with GIS security, access control, and system monitoring.

  • Understanding of GIS architecture, spatial data modeling, and ETL processes.

  • ESRI certifications (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional).
