Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role:
Own general ledger accuracy and month-end close. Ensure timely postings, reconciliations, and compliant reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and post journals: accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions.
-Reconcile bank, AP, AR, intercompany, GRNI, and inventory subledgers.
-Close month-end on schedule; produce trial balance and variance analysis.
-Maintain chart of accounts and cost centers; enforce posting controls.
-Review VAT output/input and file returns with supporting schedules.
-Support audits with reconciliations, lead schedules, and audit evidence.
-Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, and Payroll to resolve exceptions.
-Assist in budgeting and cash-flow forecasts as needed.

Requirements:
-5+ years GL accounting experience; retail/FMCG preferred.
-Bachelor s in Accounting; professional progress a plus (ACCA, CMA, CPA).
-ERP proficiency; Microsoft Business Central preferred.
-Strong Excel; Power Query/Power BI a plus.
-Solid grasp of IFRS, UAE VAT, and inventory accounting.
-Detail focus, deadline discipline, clear reporting.

KPIs:
-Month-end close T+5 or better.
-Zero-unexpected GL variances.
-On-time VAT filings and clean audit points.
