Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Golf Course Machinery Operator to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course by operating and managing specialised equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with turf maintenance machinery, strong technical abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality course conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Maintenance

• Operate machinery including mowers, aerators, sprayers, and other turf equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.

• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major faults to the Head Mechanic.

Golf Course Maintenance

• Conduct daily inspections of the course to identify maintenance needs.

• Assist in maintaining tees, greens, fairways, and roughs to the highest standards.

• Apply fertilisers, herbicides, and pesticides safely and effectively.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and groundskeeping team.

• Coordinate tasks to ensure efficient and timely course maintenance.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery and handling chemicals.

• Maintain records of equipment usage, servicing, and incidents.

Training & Development

• Participate in ongoing training programs.

• Support onboarding and training of new team members.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to: Head Golf Course Superintendent

• Collaborates with: Assistant Superintendent & Groundskeeping Team
