Roles & Responsibilities

The Golf Course Greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining the impeccable condition of the golf course, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of playability and aesthetics. This role involves the maintenance of greens, fairways, and bunkers, and the implementation of sustainable practices to enhance the overall quality of the course.

Responsibilities

    • Maintain bunkers, sand traps, and other specialised course areas to ensure they meet playability standards.
    • Repair and maintain cart paths and other course infrastructure.
    • Assist with landscaping features, including trees and shrubs.

Equipment Management

    • Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
    • Coordinate with the Mechanic any repairs and replacements of equipment as needed.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

    • Follow all health and safety protocols when handling chemicals, operating machinery, and working outdoors.
    • Keep the golf course environment safe for players, visitors, and colleagues by removing hazards promptly.
    • Support sustainable landscaping practices to conserve water and minimise environmental impact.
