Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with governmental agencies and regulatory authorities relevant to engineering and development projects.
- Monitor and interpret changes in governmental policies, regulations, and standards affecting company operations.
- Coordinate the submission and follow-up of permits, licenses, and approvals required for project execution.
- Advise project teams on compliance requirements and regulatory risks throughout all project phases.
- Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and consultations with government officials and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical documentation and reports to support regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with governmental requirements and timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Track and report on the status of regulatory applications and ongoing governmental interactions.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to address regulatory challenges and opportunities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on regulatory best practices and compliance protocols.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 3 years of experience in governmental relations, regulatory affairs, or a related engineering field.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply governmental regulations and standards to engineering projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with government officials and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting regulatory documentation and permit applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with local, regional, and national regulatory frameworks relevant to the development sector.
- Adaptability to evolving regulatory landscapes and project requirements.
