Job Description Role Overview:

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Dry Utilities team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop technical designs, calculations, layouts, and models. You will contribute to building reliable, sustainable utility networks that meet the evolving needs of urban developments and critical infrastructure projects. Under the guidance of senior team members, you ll gain hands-on experience, build technical skills, and contribute to innovative project solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design of dry utility networks, including LV/MV power distribution, street lighting, and telecom systems.
  • Apply design and technical knowledge to contribute to high-quality outputs within project timelines.
  • Perform work following agreed-upon budget and schedule guidelines, under supervision.
  • Collect and analyze information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models as needed.
  • Utilize computer software to solve fundamental engineering problems efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Engineers from other disciplines to ensure continuity of the design process.
  • Participate in design progress and coordination meetings to contribute insights and updates.
  • Verify and ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams, ensuring accuracy to design instructions.
  • Actively seek information and opportunities to contribute, develop efficiencies, and solve problems effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
  2. Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOMs Graduate Program.
  3. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
  4. As part of AECOM s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
