Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
QHSE Manager will be responsible for the development, implementing and
maintenance of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
management system. He/she provides the guidance to the organization and
support the QA process from pre-qualification and tender requests to the project
and operational QHSE plans.
In this position he/she will be supporting the project management team, staff
and company engineers (coordination at the group level is required).
Main
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintains QHSE system
Develop an annual Corporate Audit Program
Review and analyze data from audits, accident investigations, and defect
report and customer complaints to identify adverse trends and
implement preventive action.
Acts as custodian of the documents and records of the quality, health
safety and environment division
Assists in the training and implementation of the system procedures.
Periodic monitoring of the Quality Management system.
Maintains QHSE Awareness among personnel and ensures that the
procedures and instructions are followed.
Trains new personnel on the QHSE Management System and related
standards.
Conducts statistical analyses related to quality, health safety and
environment indicators
Check and review the list of quality forms and assist in the follow up and
implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Check the Approved suppliers list based on the supplier evaluation cards.
Follows up purchases related to the quality, health safety and
environment division and maintains their files.
Reviews all data obtained during all Quality Assurance activities to ensure
consistency with company policies and procedures
Monitor changes to legislation and assess the impact on the business.
Ensures the legal requirements related to safety of personnel and
equipment, environmental regulations and any other prevailing law
affecting the company process control are properly fulfilled.
Assists the company management in the maintenance of the Laboratory
Information Management System.
Collects and maintains regularly the internal and external customer
satisfaction forms.
Assists in training employees on the implementation of the Laboratory
Information Management System.
Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing
measures to assure personnel and environment safety.
Requirements /
Skills
Educational and Experience
Minimum education requirements are a Bachelor`s degree in Engineering
/ Science or equivalent
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Quality Management System
of a Materials testing laboratory and construction projects, of which five
(5) years shall be at management level in handling ISO 9001, ISO/IEC
17025, ISO 17020, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other Management System
Standards.
Certified Internal and Lead Auditor/Assessor to any ISO Standards e.g. ISO
9001, ISO 14001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 17025.
Professional OHS Qualification by Examination (NEBOSH IGC / NGC, IOSH
Managing & Working Safely / OSHA 30 hours)
Extensive understanding of quality assurance, health and safety,
sustainable & environmental management, and security management for
laboratory, site, and inspection body.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and
trigonometry.
Computer Skills:
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Inventory,
Database software.
Languages
Language Ability:
English: Read, Spoke and Written
Arabic: Read, Spoke and Written is a plus
Personal Attributes
Protect the company’s brand image and follow confidentiality
Responsibility to keep the company’s good brand image, irrespective of
where they are working (at the site or office) by wearing proper attire as
per the procedure of ACTS, be presentable at the workplace and keep
their workplace neat and tidy. Responsible to follow the confidentiality
and impartiality procedure of ACTS.
