Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead an integrated supply chain department.
  • oversee and manage every stage of Supply chain from materials and services requisition planning in coordination with Business Units to delivery of materials and services
  • Develop integrated supply chain strategies that support organizational strategies and goals.
  • Analyze business trends and markets and ensure the company achieves the greatest value without compromising quality.
  • Monitor supply markets and trends and interpret the impact of these trends on company strategies.
  • Identify the critical materials and services required to support company strategies in key performance areas. 5- Develop supply options and contingency plans that support company plans.
  • Lead the procurement and logistics managers
  • Manager the implementation of sourcing strategies and projects by liaising and collaborating with business Units.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all communications related to supply chain. This includes the development, implementation, communication of standard policies, processes and procedures, best practice and compliance, progress reporting and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate and co-ordinate with staff, other departments, senior management committees and decision makers to share information, interpret/ problem solve, clarify procurement objectives and provide guidance on staff training.
  • Ensure that Legal Dept is involved in interpreting and drafting risks and providing guidance on contractual decisions and Collaborate with Legal to ensure that suppliers are placed on contractual terms for non-performance or poor performance.
  • Ensure that competitive terms are monitored. Monitor suppliers and internal personnel satisfaction with company’s terms and conditions and contracting practices. Monitor and maintain contractual records/documentation, compliance and record findings.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality departments to establish supply chain for new parts
  • Manage the supplier database ensuring accurate supplier data and records and act as the primary contact with external suppliers.
  • Foster and manage key supplier relationships to create short- and long-term value for the company.
  • Ensure staff comply with Procurement Policy, Processes and Guidelines.
  • Manage and/or execute procurement related functions (e.g. develop and implement contract management and procurement (frameworks) .
  • Investigate allegations of poor and/or unethical procurement best practices
  • Managing materials management and movements (warehouses and transportation).
  • Oversee inventory and maintenance of the inventory record system
  • Identify and manage risk within the supply chain. Address tactical and strategic supply chain issues.
  • Support relevant departments with supplier RFQ, RFP, RFT’s, review proposals, tenders and/or quotations and provide recommendations. Compile tenders/ bids/ RFI/ RFQ/ RFP under operations and/or technical.
  • Manage and administrate contracts out, extension or renewal of contracts.
  • Serve as the point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders on contractual matters. Act as contractual ‘middleman’ between company business unit and suppliers ensuring contract visibility Public and awareness, timely review and approval/ reconciliation of variations and interpretation to support implementation.
  • Contribute effectively in budget planning of business units.
  • Evaluate supplier performance annually and ensure suppliers comply with transformational requirements of company.
  • manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10 years of experience in Supply Chain & Contract Management, preferably in Oil Refinery OR Combined Cycle Power Plant environments.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of SAP HANA and ARIBA systems.
  • Strong background in international procurement and familiarity with INCOTERMS.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support product development and assess suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Supply Chain ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A solid understanding of cost accounting principles related to manufacturing.
