Established in the year 1977 in the UAE, Gulf Marine Services WLL (GMS) is one of the well-known and largest providers of self-propelled and self-elevating accommodation jackup barges in the world. The company incorporates the protocols of the IMO: ISM code for the safe management and operation of our vessels.

The company builds and takes care of its vessels in Abu Dhabi and operates them from other strategic locations in Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom. Later in the year 2007, GMS was taken over by a slew of investors, with the majority share owned by Private Equity firm, Gulf Capital. In a very short span of time, the company got its horizon expanded from being a local operation in Abu Dhabi to becoming one of the Middle East’s number one services company. In addition to this, Gulf Marine Services WLL is counted amongst the largest operators of self-propelled self-elevating jackup barges in the world.
