Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist members and guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive first impression of the gym.
- Manage membership inquiries, processing new sign-ups and renewals with accuracy and efficiency to enhance member satisfaction.
- Handle daily administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments for personal training sessions and managing class bookings.
- Act as the first point of contact for any member concerns or complaints, resolving issues promptly and effectively to retain membership loyalty.
- Coordinate with personal trainers and fitness instructors to ensure smooth operations and timely communication regarding schedules.
- Monitor and manage entry and exit of members, ensuring the security and safety of the facility while adhering to privacy protocols.
- Assist in promoting gym programs, events, and merchandise, utilizing strong sales skills to boost participation and revenue.
- Utilize gym management software to track member attendance and manage billing, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring a professional environment that reflects the gym's brand.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or fitness management is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service roles, preferably in a fitness or health-related environment, for at least 2 years.
- Proficient in using gym management software and basic office applications to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage for diverse clientele.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate gym operating hours.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for building rapport and maintaining long-term member relationships.
- Physically fit and able to demonstrate basic exercises or equipment usage as needed to assist members effectively.
