Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement progressive training programs tailored to individual gymnasts' skill levels and goals, focusing on technique and safety.
  • Assess gymnasts' performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and creating personalized training plans to address areas for improvement.
  • Teach and demonstrate proper gymnastics techniques across all apparatuses, including vault, bars, beam, and floor, with precision and clarity.
  • Prepare gymnasts for competitions by designing routines, refining skills, and managing their physical and mental readiness for peak performance.
  • Monitor gymnasts' physical and emotional well-being, providing guidance and support to help them manage stress, build confidence, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, addressing concerns, and fostering a collaborative partnership.
  • Stay current with the latest gymnastics techniques, coaching methodologies, and safety regulations by participating in professional development opportunities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Sports Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Holds relevant certifications in gymnastics and/or parkour coaching (e.g., USA Gymnastics, Parkour Generations), with First Aid and CPR certifications essential.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of experience coaching gymnastics and/or parkour, with a proven track record of athlete success.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of gymnastics and parkour principles, including biomechanics, kinesiology, and skill progression.
