Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
A Gynecologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care related to womens reproductive health, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. The role involves managing a wide range of gynecological conditions and supporting patients through various stages of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations and screenings
- Diagnose and treat disorders related to the female reproductive system
- Provide antenatal and postnatal care to pregnant patients
- Perform and assist in gynecological procedures and surgeries
- Manage menstrual disorders, infertility issues, and hormonal imbalances
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests (ultrasound, Pap smear, etc.)
- Provide family planning guidance and contraceptive counseling
- Monitor high-risk pregnancies and refer to specialists when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology
