Key Responsibilities:

Gypsum Installation:

• Measure, cut, and install gypsum boards or drywall to the specified dimensions and layout.
• Fix gypsum panels to walls, ceilings, and partitions using screws, nails, or adhesive.

Framework Construction:

• Build and align metal or wooden frameworks for gypsum board installations.
• Ensure the framework is stable, properly aligned, and ready for panel attachment.

Finishing Work:

• Apply joint tape, compound, and sanding to create smooth and seamless surfaces.
• Install corner beads, moldings, and trims for finishing touches.

Specialized Installations:

• Install fire-resistant gypsum boards in compliance with safety regulations in the oil and gas sector.
• Fit soundproof or moisture-resistant panels where required.

Blueprint Interpretation:

• Read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate installations.
• Verify dimensions and designs against the provided plans.

Material Management:

• Select and prepare the appropriate materials, tools, and equipment required for the job.
• Ensure efficient use of materials to minimize waste.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to align gypsum carpentry tasks with broader construction activities.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to resolve on-site challenges.

Repairs and Maintenance:

• Perform repairs or replacements of damaged gypsum panels or frameworks as needed.
• Ensure completed structures meet quality and safety standards.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any deviations from project specifications.
