Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
Responsible for the launch, growth and management of Basic Banking Segment.
Responsible for driving the profitability of the Basic Banking business by acquiring, developing and servicing long term relationships with existing and potential clients.
Ensuring that suitable risk mitigation measures are implemented for the division.
Ensuring roll out of suitable products for the sales team under the Basic Banking segment
Responsible for the remittance business in Personal Banking
Responsible to implement the medium term strategic plan related to Basic banking/remittance business and achievement of the targeted KPIs.
Principal Accountabilities
Business:
Deliver revenue and profit targets for the basic banking segment and implementation of other key operating metrics like customer acquisition, customer satisfaction, product development etc.
Deliver revenue and profit targets for Remittance business in Personal Banking and manage the remittance business across various customer segments
Increase market share in remittance business by achieving higher volumes in all remittance corridors
Ensure to maintain a healthy portfolio of customers and grow deposits as well as fee income from various products including remittance.
Assess the requirements of customers in the region, utilizing the center network / research as appropriate in order to ensure that an appropriate suite of products is created.
Work closely with other stakeholders across the bank to facilitate NTB customer acquisitions for basic banking customers.
Ensure high standards of customer service through all channels including physical, phygital and digital channels.
Regular benchmarking of proposition with competition and improve proposition to maintain market leadership. Keep abreast of latest trend in the industry and technological changes and make the relevant changes in business.
Official
Set up service monitoring mechanisms for quick resolution of customer queries, fast turnaround of customer requests and for directly marketing bank's products and services.
Promote digital solution of bank and improve digital adoption by customers for both NTB customer acquisition and cross-sell to existing customers.
Ensure that staff are regularly trained on product knowledge, segment benefits and providing superior customer experience to segment customers
Risk Management:
Understand the risk and control environment in the area of responsibility and drive rectifications as required.
Ensure to avoid reputational risks and operational losses.
Compliance and Governance:
Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory compliance policies of the bank and Central Bank of Oman
Engage with all audit report findings and ensure that feedback is acted upon.
Embed the bank's values and code of conduct among all staff to ensure that adherence with the highest standard of ethics and compliance with relevant policies and processes is inculcated within the division.
Desired Candidate Profile
MBA / Postgraduate /CA / Equivalent with around 10 years' experience in Retail Forex business of a large exchange house / bank (at least three years experience at senior level in sales or product side of retail banking)
Strong knowledge of various retail banking products, channels and service proposition to cater to the needs of customers in basic banking.
Highly innovative and service-oriented person.
Good communication skills.
Highly effective in team management and nurturing talent.
