One of our clients is looking for a Head of IT Networks who will be responsible for leading the design, operation, and security of the organization s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance across corporate and operational environments. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver secure and scalable network solutions that support the company s mission-critical utilities operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the company s enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, data center, and voice systems.
• Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and incident response.
• Manage and mentor a team of network engineers, promoting skill development, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Drive network modernization initiatives, including adoption of software-defined networking (SDN) and cloud-connected architectures.
• Implement robust network security measures in coordination with the cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to protect critical systems and data.
• Oversee the design and management of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and voice infrastructure to ensure reliable enterprise communication services.
• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, standards, and configuration baselines.
• Lead vendor evaluations, contract management, and procurement for networkrelated solutions and services.
• Collaborate with C-level and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure network capabilities align with business priorities, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning through resilient network design and redundancy strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and management, with at least 3 5 years in a leadership or architectural role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site networks and hybrid environments.
• Strong technical expertise in:

1. Cisco technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, SD-WAN, SDA, CUCM)
2. Juniper network infrastructure
3. Routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools

• Deep understanding of network security principles, segmentation, and best practices for critical infrastructure environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, ITIL, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Exposure to IT/OT network integration and securing converged environments.
• Familiarity with cloud connectivity, Zero Trust networking, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Cisco DNA Center).
• Strong vendor management and project delivery experience.
