Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Spearhead the drafting department's strategic direction, aligning it with overall company objectives and industry best practices to ensure innovation and efficiency.
- Oversee the creation and revision of technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, adherence to standards, and meticulous attention to detail for project success.
- Manage and mentor a team of draftsmen, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high-quality output.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide effective drafting solutions.
- Implement and maintain drafting standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across all projects to minimize errors and rework.
- Evaluate and recommend drafting software and hardware upgrades, staying at the forefront of technological advancements to optimize productivity.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring drafting deliverables are completed on schedule and within allocated resources to maintain project profitability.
- Conduct quality control checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications, preventing costly mistakes.
- Stay informed of industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure drawings meet all necessary compliance requirements and are legally sound.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms for drafting-related materials and services to control costs.

- Hold relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAD certifications) to validate expertise and commitment to the field.
