Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
EAC and SSR Management
Work as a lead member of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure timely and reliable CSR inputs, that are challenged and accurate
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate and timely EAC positions are in place with clear trading plans
Ensure all mandated reporting elements are reviewed and presented effectively, including Order Book reconciliations, Unbilled Receivables and Advance Payments
Ensure that programme risks and opportunities are reviewed regularly and reflect the latest contract position; Basis of Estimate and ownership to be key focus
Forecasting and Budgeting
Drive and deliver the monthly key salient forecast for the projects portfolio, ensuring inputs are aligned with latest project information
Lead the financial IBP submission for the portfolio; ensuring appropriate cross-functional buy-in and ownership
Ensure variance analysis is sufficiently detailed and informative, and that lessons learned are fed into future forecasts
Drive the ownership and involvement of the full IPT in the forecasting process ensuring changing priorities and requirements are addressed
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Maximise the ISE cash flow position by ensuring invoices are raised promptly and accurately
Challenge the IPT to minimise the aged debt position, ensuring both internal and external stakeholders are considered and a cash focus is in place and maintained
Ensure intercompany debt agreements are submitted and effectively reconciled
Ensure AR data is reconciled and available to relevant stakeholders
Month End
Ensure Month End activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner, including cross-functional activities.
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Ensure all project specific inputs are completed within specified deadlines
Understand all relevant balances, and ensure they are reconciled and supported by necessary supporting documentation
Support the monthly Balance Sheet reviews and ensure all actions are completed effectively
Governance
Drive and support processes and behaviours that are in line with company policies and expectations, including cross-functional governance
Process owner for multiple COSA workbooks; ensure responses demonstrate integrity and action plans are in place for areas of non-compliance
Liaise with internal and external auditors; providing assistance and guidance as necessary to ensure audit processes are completed effectively and efficiently
Business Winning
Challenge and support new business proposals; ensure opportunities align with company expectations and are appropriately funded
Process Development
Drive all relevant stakeholders to identify, develop and implement new or improved processes and policies; both within in the Finance function, and as part of the wider project delivery process. Develop policies and procedures that align with the function and business strategy and requirements
Other key tasks
The scale of the ISE Finance team means that all members of the team will need to support a wide range of processes, from start to finish, some of which may not be specific to the Project Accounting discipline. The Head of Finance will be required to support the Financial Controller and their team on a regular basis, and might also deputise for the Finance Director as necessary
Desired Candidate Profile
Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in Finance within a Project Accounting area
Advanced Microsoft Excel user; capable with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Capable SAP user
Education and Certification Requirements:
Qualified accountant (CPA, CIMA, SOCPA)
