Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer firewalls and security systems for all MSC Egypt users in compliance with GVA regulations.
- Collaborate with the GVA cybersecurity team to provide firewall logs for analyzing security events, ensuring effective monitoring and protection of the local network.
- Follow up on the GVA enterprise cybersecurity implementation plan and security frameworks, prioritizing the local network and server action plans across all company premises to ensure smooth operations in alignment with GVA technical guidelines.
- Participate in the annual infrastructure budgeting process and forecast required devices such as VOIP systems, printers, IT hardware spare parts, UPS units, and surveillance systems.
- Ensure optimal and cost-effective utilization of the annual IT budget in compliance with GVA IT standards.
- Collaborate with service providers to oversee maintenance contracts for UPS devices, internet services, and VOIP systems, ensuring contract terms and conditions are effectively applied.
- Monitor daily security operations including incident detection, response, and recovery to maintain a stable IT environment and protect against cyber threats.
- Secure MSC Egypt s public IP and work with the global GVA cybersecurity team to conduct penetration test simulations, maintaining the corporate cybersecurity risk register.
- Conduct regular audits of internet and security policies across all assets to ensure compliance with global infrastructure guidelines and coordinate with the global team to facilitate their audit checklist.
- Assist in creating new user accounts, assigning permissions, and managing access control, identity management, and data protection mechanisms in alignment with IT standards.
- Educate and mentor the IT Infrastructure team by providing technical leadership and guidance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by users involving desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, or other office applications.
- Assist in managing LANs, WANs, network segments, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi controllers, and intranet systems.
- Participate in the IT inventory committee to evaluate and decide on the disposal, reuse, or retention of IT devices stored in the warehouse.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor s degree of a relevant discipline is a must. CCNA, MCITP, ETHICAL HACKING and AZURE administrator certificate is an asset.
Language: Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Specialized knowledge:
- Strong experience with server & network administration.
- Intermediate understanding of network security.
- Familiarity with cloud services and hybrid setups.
- Deep knowledge of IT compliance (data protection, security policies).
- Experience with monitoring tools to keep systems running smoothly.
- Good presentation skills.
